Naples Luxury Real Estate Market - Sales Increased 33% In 2010 compared to 2009

For 2010 (compared to 2009) closed sales for properties in the $1Million - $2Million price's range increased 33% in the Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero area. In the same time, the pending sales increased 29%.
These figures are part of the report just release by the Naples Association Board of Realtors.
The median sale price  for properties listed $300,000 and above increased too: $525,000 to $544,000.
Globally, in 2010 compared to 2009, closed sales are up 10%:
  • 7,840 closed sales in 2010.
  • 7,126 closed sales in 2009.
In all the categories above $300,000, there is a double digit increase.

It is also interesting to note that there were a large amount of cash buyers in Naples compared to people getting mortgages. I saw a chart online recently (forget where) showing more cash buyers.
